  • Alberta University of the Arts is a community of thinkers, shapers, makers and risk-takers. We are students, faculty, staff and alumni rich in diversity of culture and thought, challenged to fearlessly explore what moves us, drives us, and implores us to see the world differently.

    A Senior Level Leader with expertise in Leadership, Career Development and Education, I have developed highly effective and industry-focused training and employment programs across Alberta with the purpose of upskilling Alberta's workforce to meet the current needs of industry in a variety of sectors including Technology, Trades and Supply Chain. I Develop and leverage strategic partnerships with Government, Post-Secondary Institutions and Industry in order to maximize the potential of Alberta's talent pool while preparing Albertans for the ever-changing world of work.

    As an approachable and compassionate leader, I focus on people first. I build strong relationships focusing on mutual trust while exhibiting a steadfast commitment to integrity and high ethical standards.   • Nicholas Newnes (he/him) is a consultant and coach who works alongside senior executives and entrepreneurs in non-profit, economic development, post-secondary, and industry. He has led multi-million-dollar programs with global entities to transform systems and empower teams. As an early adopter, collaborator, and champion of the LearningCITY vision, Nicholas has always been passionate about guiding individuals toward finding and achieving their full potential while creating environments where they can do so.
